Data erasure is the core fundamental element of IT disposals. Re-certify Ltd utilise our expansive global network of ITAD’s to tailor a data erasure solution in line with your business’s current security framework, certifications and accreditations.

Re-certify Ltd and our partners have a variety of data erasure solutions available to our customers:

Offsite data erasure and/or shredding

IT equipment is collected in secure GPS tracked vans with the hard drives still in the appliances. The HDD’s and SSD’s are erased or shredded as requested, in our partners state-of-the-art facilities. We have various different security options available with this option to eliminate risk in transit. The customer will receive their data erasure/shredding certificates after processing is complete and in line with our standard T&Cs

Diskless collection

The customer removes all HDD’s and/or SSD’s prior to collection from the appliances. Please state the appliances are diskless on the asset request from supplied. Please understand that as a business, if the HDD’s and SSD’s are removed, we will need to purchase drives for the IT appliances to be resold, or sell Diskless, reflectively this will affect the final rebate offer.

Onsite data erasure and/or shredding

Some of our customers security frameworks require the HDD’s and/or SSD’s to be either erased or shredded onsite. Re-certify Ltd and our partners can offer an onsite service. A dedicated, trained engineer will attend site with the required infrastructure to erase and/or shred your HDD’s and/or SSD’s. The engineer will remove the media if required and undertake the erasure or shredding and supply data erasure or shredding certificates In line with our standard T&Cs.

Please be advised there will be service charges applied for an engineer to attend site and a cost per drive for the erasure or shredding. Please enquire with a Re-certify Ltd sales representative for a quote on this service.

Onsite Snap/Punch Disk

To reduce the cost of onsite Disk shredding we can provide a dedicated and trained engineer to remove all media as required and snap/punch the disk’s onsite rendering them unreadable. The punctured drives and IT equipment is then loaded onto the GPS tracked vans and processed at our partners state-of-the-art facilities. The customer will receive the data shredding certificates in line with our standard T&Cs.
